Affilorama Scam Review – What You Need To Know

Affilorama is an online site that offers membership to people who want to become affiliate marketers. Affilorama is not a scam site and all the information it offers about its owners is legit. It provide additional value to the internet compared to all other scam programs out there. In this Affilorama review, I look at what you should expect to get if you join Affilorama. Some of its features are good, some not bad, while some will simply waste your precious time.

I Liked the Following Features

Openness

Affilorama is an affiliate product created by Mark Ling. He lives by his reputation and does not hide anything that you should know about Affilorama. That according to me makes him stand out from the millions of scam products you find on the internet. On the Affilorama home page, you will find all the trial and premium products that Affilorama offers.

Active Forum

However, the layout is a bit mixed-up. It took me time to figure out what I would want and what I wouldn’t need. The good news is they have an active forum, which is a plus in the affiliate industry. In affiliate marketing changes occur on a regular basis. I find the information shared by members on affiliate forums to be the best source of instant updates and solutions.

Free Membership

They have free membership that just requires you to pay $1 to enjoy some of their tools. I guess the $1 fee is to make sure that they are dealing with a real person. My free membership lasted over a month of the trial period I dedicated to them. I was able to access 30 training modules, their member forum, official blog, and a webinar. Not all that you get from those free cookies is great but it’s definitely not entirely a useless membership.

I Didn’t Like the Following About Affilorama

They do not offer a single package that you can subscribe to and get started your journey as an affiliate marketer. They have split the important features to create products that are expensive for beginner affiliate marketers. I found that even before learning what works and what doesn’t work, I will have paid as much as someone who is an expert making use of all tools. These are some of their tools.

Affilorama Premium Package

This is the package that I got to try freely for a month. I paid only $1 to use it as a form of verification. However, I realised that I actually was not getting everything that they offer. In other words, it was not really a premium trial as we have been accustomed to think when we hear of such offers.

Thin Content

Once I paid the premium membership, I felt somehow cheated. I expected to find lots of affiliate training material that would stand out from what I already knew. However, that was not the case. They only offered just 19 videos. Out of those 19, 7 were about how to create a new product. The rest didn’t focus on building any additional affiliate marketing skills. They seemed to have been randomly created to bulk up the training materials.

Magazine

They have a premium magazine that does not have a monthly issue. I would say Affilorama seemed to have been created to be a form of passive income for the owner. The other thing about their premium membership that I didn’t like was the limitation to just 15 domains in the hosting package. That wouldn’t have been so bad if those 15 domains didn’t have ridiculous restrictions.

Domain Restrictions

Each domain was restricted to a disk space usage of just 2GB and the traffic was capped at 75GB for each domain. That means if any one of my domains performed better, I couldn’t take advantage of the other poorly performing domains and use resources allocated to them. Other domain restrictions included use of just 10 email addresses, and 10 MySQL databases. I do not consider such an offer to be a premium offer; they should have offered it as an intermediate package, and at a lower fee.

Site Builder

They have no site builder, which means you need to learn about the use of FTP clients to transfer your site from where you will develop it to their hosting platform. That is a huge barrier for most beginners. I was ones a beginner and I bet it can be a turn-off. At least when you realize other affiliate programs will offer you all the tools that make site building and hosting look like creating a presentation slides.

High Fees

I did like the high fees they charge for very thin services and tools. At $67 per month, it made me think of what I could get from other reasonably priced affiliate program subscriptions. I mean, I could get way better services for just $47 a month or even for $37 and get the same service. I honestly did not find anything that made it charge $20 to $30 more each month. All I found were reasons they should charge less.

I couldn’t mind paying $67 each month and getting all there is to know about affiliate marketing plus hosting and site building services. However, I mind paying that much and still get charged an addition $200 to $1000 to get access to tools that I will need to actually start making money.

Affilotheme

I heard read somewhere that they used to offer this premium WordPress theme for $97. I was unable to get it in the premium trial package. Instead, I realised that they have now bundled it in the Affiloblueprint. In other words, I was not able to create a trial site using this premium theme. A trial theme with some useful but limited features would have been nice.

Affiloblueprint

This is the main course that they offer for a lifetime. A lifetime means that you will get it as long as they are still in business. The course is designed for beginners and is a step-by-step course.

Affilojetpack

This package targets those who want readymade stuff. They have pre-made sites that included content, email lists, and other materials that they teach in their course that you should have. This course goes for $997. I would advise that you stay away from such because that just a lot of money to throw. I guess you know if those niche sites were profitable, they would not be willing to sell them.

Verdict

When it comes to affiliate marketing, there are affiliate services that stand out as being the best. I wouldn’t say that Affilorama is scam, it is not a scam. However, it ain’t the best affiliate program either. When you compare Affilorama to services from Wealthy Affiliate, it is not hard to see why Wealthy Affiliate is among the best. My favourite that makes me recommend it to you are as follows:

• You get access to several successful affiliate marketers.
• You get a monthly subscription of $47 instead of $67.
• They offer unlimited hosting instead of limited hosting.
• You get a complete package at $359 plus $11 for a domain name, instead of $2000.
• You become a member of an active and friendly forum.
